Message From the Principal

My name is Edmund F. Cetrullo, Jr., and I am honored and excited to be your principal at the Atlantic Community Charter School where we are here "to LEARN, BE RESPECTFUL, and DO OUR PERSONAL BEST!"

As a long time elementary/middle school teacher and 14 year assistant principal/principal, I look forward to working with you and your students to support them in reaching their full potential for the 2018-2019 school year. As principal, my leadership, vision, education, and experience will be used to help foster the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students and professional growth of our staff.

My personal vision is to provide a safe and positive school climate with high expectations and rigor that result in optimal achievement.

During our 2018-2019 school year, I encourage students and parents to support the educational process by embracing school expectations with daily attendance, focused attention, engaged efforts, timely completion of tasks, daily reading, and open lines of communication. The beginning of the school year we will have a great focus on procedure and high expectations with our students.

Throughout the year the ACCS community will be exposed to new and different mediums of communication along with varied activities. Please use our ever-improving website to be informed of our happenings.

We also ask that you keep us updated with your contact information; addresses, cell phone numbers, and emails. This is important for the safety and welfare of our students.

We will be having our Back to School Night on September 20. Details will be forwarded home. September 21, school will be closed for teacher professional development. The remaining week days of the month will be full session days.

We believe a good home and school relationship sets the foundation for a great education by opening the lines of communication and trust. If you find yourself wishing to be more involved with our school, beyond the normal parent/teacher communication; the parent/teacher organization is a great place to start. Please call the front office for more information.

I look forward to meeting and working with you. Together, our school community will grow for the benefit of our children turning today’s learners into tomorrow’s leaders.

If I can be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to call the front office.
